After years of waiting, GTA VI was finally supposed to be available in late May 2026. We’ll have to be patient a little longer, as Rockstar has announced a new delay to November 19, 2026. A decision that radically changes the release calendar configuration, already extremely crowded in the fall.

November concentrates the majority of major releases every year, to capitalize on the holiday season. With GTA VI arriving during this period, visibility for other titles will inevitably be reduced. Many publishers will need to revise their strategy, or risk going completely unnoticed.

This delay also creates a domino effect on the first half of 2026. Some studios, who were avoiding spring to not end up too close to Rockstar’s launch, might now move their release forward. Others, on the contrary, will choose to push back to 2027 to avoid direct competition.

The 2026 calendar, already complex, becomes even more uncertain… unless, of course, GTA VI gets delayed again by then.
